What is Jack Lohr’s background?

John F. “Jack” Lohr served as pastor to churches in NJ and NY, including 23 years in Franklin Lakes. A “graduate” of our Citizens’ Police Academy and regular presence at Council meetings, he is also a member of the Interfaith Advisory Council of NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. Jack founded a Zen community in Franklin Lakes and served the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood as President of the Board (’22-’24). He is bilingual in Spanish.

What is Jack’s campaign message?

With uncertain Federal and State funding, we need a dynamic and creative mayor and council to find funds and reduce expenses and keep from raising taxes or cutting staff. Party affiliation matters less than commitment and competence. Our team will help Council take real responsibility for “Quality of Life”! In addition to providing services, passing ordinances and responding to complaints, we will lead to enhance the social fabric of our community.
